Uber Eats Assists Muslims Observing Ramadan with Extended Restaurant Hours
Uber Eats is stepping up its support for Ramadan participants this year by informing users about restaurants on the app that are extending their hours for Suhoor, the pre-dawn meal before fasting.
As part of this initiative, the delivery platform will showcase a curated selection of halal restaurant partners that have extended their opening hours for Suhoor throughout the Ramadan period.
Crafted by creative agency Mother London, the campaign will span across out-of-home and social media channels. It draws inspiration from insights gathered in 2023, revealing that over 2,400 restaurants extended their operating times on the Uber Eats app to accommodate Ramadan observers.
Matthew Price, General Manager for the UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe at Uber Eats, expressed, “The Open For Suhoor campaign exemplifies Uber Eats’ commitment to supporting not only our customers observing Ramadan, but also our exceptional restaurant partners across the UK who are extending their hours during this sacred month. We are also thrilled to reintroduce our Sundown Spots iftar dinners to show our gratitude to our amazing drivers who continue to work with Uber while fasting. Additionally, we are offering a to-go option for couriers who wish to continue delivering on Uber Eats during this period.”
