Instabox to Cease Operations in Germany Due to Low Volumes

Parcel delivery service Instabox has decided to discontinue its services in Germany, citing insufficient volumes to sustain its operations in the market. The company announced this decision on LinkedIn and will gradually wind down its German operations, with a full cessation of services starting in November. Instabox’s parent company, Instabee, remains optimistic about the potential of the German market and expresses the hope of returning in the future when conditions are more favorable.

Instabee, which operates under the parent company, recently announced the departure of co-founder Fredrik Hamilton from the CEO role. The other co-founder, Alexis Priftis, will take over the responsibilities. This move follows the merger of Instabox and Budbee in September 2022, resulting in the creation of the new company, Instabee.

Instabox’s exit from the German market comes approximately a year after the company faced bankruptcy in the Netherlands. Subsequently, DHL took over the assets of the company in the Dutch market.
