Amazon Revamps International Communications Team, Names New Corporate PR Leaders

Amazon is undergoing a restructuring of its international communications team outside of the Americas, with the appointment of new leaders in corporate communications. Stu Jackson, who has overseen Amazon’s global workplace communications team across EMEA, APAC, and North America, has been promoted to Director of International Corporate Communications. In his new role, effective from July 31, Jackson will handle all corporate communications for Amazon outside of the US while retaining responsibility for employer-related communications. Based in London, he will report to Ty Rogers, Vice President of Global Corporate Communications based in the US.

Amanda Andrews, previously in charge of international corporate, policy, and sustainability communications at Amazon, will assume the role of Director of International Communications for Amazon Web Services (AWS). This newly created position will involve leading AWS communications across EMEA, APAC, Latin America, and Canada. Andrews, who joined Amazon in 2018 after holding communications roles at Vodafone and media outlets such as The Telegraph and The Times, will be based in London and report to Kristie Cunningham, Vice President of Global Communications for AWS, also based in the US.

As part of the leadership changes, Amazon Web Services is appointing a new communications leader for its operations outside the US, covering EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and Canada. Stu Jackson brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles as Director of Communications at Orange and Vice President of Brand and Communications for Europe at Nissan.

Jackson expressed his enthusiasm for leading a world-class communications team and highlighted the collective learning, sharing, and collaboration among the professionals. With these new appointments, Amazon aims to strengthen its corporate communications efforts internationally, tapping into the expertise of its seasoned professionals during this transformative period for the company.
