Harry Darlington has been hired in the newly-created role of strategy director at independent agency Medialab with immediate effect.
Joining integration director Nick Parker, and head of planning Jess Talbot, who started in November last year, Darlington’s remit will be to lead the strategic direction of several Medialab clients, helping to create innovative and award-winning work.
Darlington will report into Medialab chief client officer Suzy Jordan, and work with the entire client planning team.
He joins from OMD UK, where he has worked for 12 years, including as strategy director for two years, working on clients including McDonald’s, easyJet, British Gas and NFU Mutual.
Darlington worked his way up from a communications planning graduate at OMD UK in 2012.
Alex Kirk, managing director and co-founder of Medialab Group, said: “Harry’s expertise and industry knowledge make him an invaluable addition to our team. As we continue to grow and innovate, his leadership will ensure that our strategic capabilities not only meet but exceed the evolving needs of our clients.”
Medialab’s recent wins have included Hovis, Standard Life and Save the Children.
Darlington added: “I am eager to bring my experience and some fresh insights to Medialab and their clients. It’s an exciting time to be part of a company that is in a period of substantial growth.”
