On Thursday, April 4, Tallinn Music Week commences, featuring a lineup of 165 artists from 35 countries gracing various stages. Latvia is proudly represented by seven artists, as confirmed by representatives of the Latvian Music Development Society / Latvian Music Export.
Come Friday, April 5, “Orange Holidays,” Platons Buravickis, Sofija Zaitseva, and “Waterflower” will enchant audiences at Tallinn Music Week, captivating not only visitors but also a diverse array of professionals from the regional music industry.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, April 6, Latvia takes the spotlight with performances by Lunt, Sarma Gabrēna, and “Sudden Lights” at Tallinn Music Week.
This year’s festival sees an exciting addition with the introduction of the platform NERDS (“North European Resonance and Dissonance Society”), originating from Latvia and part of the collaboration network of the “Skaņu meža” festival.
Marks Dīlers, the brain behind the Latvian-founded “Cindy&Kate” platform, curates alongside 15 industry experts from the Baltic countries, completing the lineup of curators for the Tallinn Music Week event series.
Furthermore, this year’s festival hosts the “European Music Exporters” (EMEE) forum, featuring the participation of Agnese Cimuška-Rekke, executive director of “Music Latvia” and one of the founders of EMEE.
“European Music Exporters Exchange” (EMEE) is a non-governmental organization that brings together 33 national and regional Music Export Offices from 28 countries. EMEE’s mission is to bolster the European music industry by championing diversity, visibility, and supporting mobility across Europe and beyond. This mission is realized through the exchange of information and expertise among members, as well as collaborative project initiatives with other music industry organizations.
