Global social media agency Social Element has announced a revitalization of its leadership team, with Linn Frost and Ashley Cooksley stepping into the roles of Global co-CEOs. Tamara Littleton, the current CEO, will transition to the role of Executive Chair.
Frost, formerly the Managing Director for Europe, and Cooksley, previously the CEO for North America, will jointly spearhead the company’s strategic direction worldwide. Their responsibilities include setting long-term objectives, driving the agency’s vision forward, and pinpointing opportunities for growth and expansion. They will also focus on achieving success within their respective territories.
Founder Tamara Littleton, while relinquishing the Global CEO position, will continue to play a pivotal role as Executive Chair. In her new capacity, Littleton will collaborate closely with Frost and Cooksley, facilitating a seamless transition and providing invaluable insights to steer the agency’s trajectory. Littleton will maintain her position on the Board alongside Treena Hales, COO, and Wendy Christie, CPO.
Additionally, Alex Attfield, previously the Client Services Director, has been promoted to Managing Director, Europe. In this role, Attfield will drive Social Element’s growth across Europe, nurturing creative and strategic capabilities, cultivating new client relationships, and delivering exceptional client work.
In conjunction with these leadership changes, Social Element has unveiled a fresh brand and visual identity. The revamped visual system encompasses a new logo, typography, iconography, and color palette, complemented by a refined brand voice and architecture. This rebrand draws inspiration from the dynamic nature of social elements, aiming to elevate the social media experience.
Reflecting on these developments, Tamara Littleton expressed, “This transition has been years in the making. It’s about fostering company growth, and I’ve dedicated significant effort to assembling the best executive and senior leadership team and fostering an environment conducive to their success. With this accomplished team in place, it’s the opportune moment for me to assume this new role and empower them to drive the company forward. It’s an incredibly exciting time for all of us.”
Linn Frost remarked, “Ashley and I are committed to building an agency with a lasting legacy of success. Our objective is clear: to enhance the social media landscape by enabling brands to authentically connect with their audience. Enhancing social media involves effecting tangible change and delivering measurable results for our clients, while also advocating for a more positive digital environment.”
Ashley Cooksley added, “Over the past three years, we’ve achieved remarkable growth, and we believe we’re only scratching the surface of our potential as an agency and industry. With the right talent, experience, vision, and values, we’re poised to significantly increase both revenue and profit. Our inclusive culture, focus on growth, and progressive approach have attracted top talent from other agencies and companies. Social Element is poised to lead the way in reshaping the future of work, offering support and fostering wellbeing, because every individual matters. We are the agency of the future, and we remain the preferred partner for brands ready to thrive.”
