Saudi-Georgian Coordination Council Agreement Formalized

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan welcomed Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili, to his office in Riyadh on Wednesday.

During their meeting, both ministers explored avenues to enhance and broaden cooperation across various domains, fostering stronger ties and mutual understanding. Conversations also delved into regional and international matters of shared concern.

In a significant development, Prince Faisal and Darchiashvili formalized their commitment by signing a memorandum of understanding, paving the way for the establishment of the Saudi-Georgian Coordination Council. This initiative is designed to amplify collaboration between the two nations, aligning with the collective goals of their leaderships and citizens.

The gathering was attended by Dr. Saud Al-Sati, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Salman Al-Sheikh, Saudi Ambassador to Georgia, and Eng. Fahd Al-Harthy, Director-General of the General Administration of the Secretariats of the Councils and Committees.
