Lynn Group Appoints Sophie Howe as First Global Strategic Partner to Drive Environmental Objectives

Behavioural science communications consultancy, Lynn Group, has announced the appointment of Sophie Howe as its inaugural global strategic partner, aimed at assisting companies in achieving their environmental targets.

Sophie Howe, who previously served as the world’s first Future Generations Commissioner for Wales for a period of seven years, collaborated with the Welsh government, public bodies, and policymakers to prioritize the long-term impact on future generations. Her efforts encompassed initiatives related to transportation planning, education reform, climate change, and advocating for changes in land use planning policy, transportation schemes, and government housing policies.

In her new role at Lynn Group, Howe will work alongside CEO and agency founder Shayoni Lynn, offering strategic counsel to clients on a global scale while providing guidance to support both public and private sector entities. Lynn Group will collaborate with companies to meet government environmental targets, as well as economic, financial, reputational, and cultural objectives.

The partnership between Howe and Lynn carries a distinct emphasis on evidence-based practices, improving data literacy, and helping organizations combat misinformation. They aim to foster a shift towards insight-led communication, firmly rooted in behavioral science principles, to facilitate the transformation of environmental, cultural, social, and economic norms.

Howe emphasized the critical need for public and private sector organizations to integrate behavioral science-led communication, fortified against misinformation, into all endeavors that seek to drive change and ensure a sustainable future. She emphasized the importance of policymakers, business leaders, organizations, and brands becoming adept insight-led communicators, pioneering behaviorally informed, evidence-based messaging for tangible positive outcomes.

Shayoni Lynn expressed her anticipation in collaborating with Howe and their clients to collectively propel the necessary behavior change that is vital for societal, economic, commercial, and environmental progress. Lynn emphasized the urgency of the situation, acknowledging that time is of the essence if we are to preserve our planet.

In May 2022, Lynn Group introduced three new practice areas: Lynn Health, Lynn Planet (dedicated to climate change and sustainability), and Lynn Change, a practice focused on business transformation.
